The FirstRowe Speech & Feeding Therapy Center specializes in diagnostic evaluation and treatment services for infants and children with speech, language, feeding and swallowing disorders. We are proud to share many success stories treating pediatric dysphagia and improving communication skills in nonverbal and minimally verbal children with autism, apraxia, dysarthria, selective mutism, cerebral palsy, language disorders, and developmental delays. We strive to make a difference by providing high-quality individually designed therapy sessions based on current research, clinical expertise, extensive training, and successful approaches. IN-PERSON and TELETHERAPY services are available.

Speech and language therapy

Speech & Language Therapy

Speech and language therapy focuses on improving children’s ability to communicate. Following a detailed assessment, our specialists develop effective strategies that facilitate your child’s speech, language and learning development.

Feeding & Swallowing Therapy

A thorough evaluation is instrumental in diagnosis and treatment of children with difficulty in feeding or swallowing. Our therapists create a treatment plan to address medical, nutritional, sensory, motor, and behavioral problems of each client.

Social pragmatic language is involved in our daily interactions with others. It encompasses both verbal and nonverbal communication.

Tongue Thrust

Tongue thrust occurs when the tongue pushes forward against or between the front teeth during swallowing. Treatment may require joint efforts of medical professionals and speech language pathologists.

Saliva Management

If drooling persists after 3-4 years of age, parents should consider seeking advice from a professional speech language pathologist as a child may benefit from oral-motor and oral-sensory therapy.

Apraxia of Speech

Apraxia of Speech

Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a motor speech disorder that makes it difficult for children to make sounds and words correctly and consistently, and put together sounds and syllables in the right order to form words.
